This is the best page I could find on how to edit the basic (and weird) styles palette in Mac OS X applications like TextEdit and Scrivener. In case you use TextEdit as well as Pages, you will have noticed that TextEdit has an unusual and sometimes buggy way of handling styles.

Flash for iPhone? Not yet. Thoughtful reasoning from John Gruber: The iPhone’s lack of Flash has not hurt it one bit. Perhaps that will change in the future, if Flash someday proves popular on other mobile platforms, but don’t hold your breath. (via Instapaper)
